About

About the New Archives

Archives:  American poet Carl Sandburg wrote, “Whenever a society perishes, there is always one factor present: they forgot where they came from.” Through archives, AA expresses a collective experience, strength, and hope gained through our heritage, and renew a sense of common purpose and AA unity.

AA Arkansas’s historical collection provides the fellowship with perspective of its own past and the opportunity for all to view it, study it, and benefit from it. The new Area 4 location for our state’s AA historical collection is being remodeled to provide a secure, climate-controlled, and accessible venue for the preservation and storage of Arkansas AA’s 85-year fascinating history.
